The idea for DateMyKid wasn't born in a boardroom. It started from a place of friendship and a deep understanding of a parent's love.

Our co-founder, Dersperado, is a kind, successful, and wonderful 33-year-old Asian man. By all accounts, he was living a great life. Yet, for his parents, there was one persistent worry that overshadowed his achievements: his single status. They dreamed of seeing him settle down with a life partner, to build a family of his own and share in the joys of marriage and children.

We watched as his parents, full of love and concern, tirelessly tried to find a suitable match for him. They reached out to relatives, asked friends for introductions, and spent countless hours worrying. Their efforts were a testament to their love, a powerful, universal desire for a child's happiness and future.

In their journey, we saw a reflection of millions of parents around the world—parents from all cultural backgrounds who share the same heartfelt wish for their children. We realized that in an age where careers are prioritized and modern dating can feel impersonal and overwhelming, parents often feel helpless. They want to be involved, to guide, and to protect, but lack the right platform to do so.

That realization was our spark. We asked ourselves: What if we could create a space for parents like Dersperado's? A safe, respectful, and effective platform where they could connect with other like-minded parents to help their children find meaningful relationships?

And so, DateMyKid was created. It is more than just a dating site; it's a community built on trust, shared values, and the enduring power of a parent's love. Our story began with one family's hope, and we hope it continues with yours.
